Who we are

CrumbSafe is a service of Slick Engineering & Consulting, Inc., based in Delray Beach, Florida. For anything privacy-related, contact corey@slick-engineering.com.

What we collect on this site

• Waitlist signups: your email address, whether you chose the free waitlist or a founding-member reservation, the price shown to you, and the time of signup — stored together with the session token, referring page, and browser user-agent of the submission. Repeat signup attempts are also kept in an internal log with the same fields.
• Basic technical records: like nearly every website, our infrastructure processes standard request data (IP address, browser type) to serve pages and prevent abuse. Each visit to the home page also logs a session token, the price variant you were shown, the referring page, and your browser type — used only to measure interest in the pricing options during this pre-launch test. The token is randomly generated, stays stored in your browser between visits so you always see the same price, is not linked to your name unless you sign up, and is not used to track you across other sites. Deletion requests cover these visit logs too.

What we do NOT collect

• No account is required and none exists yet — this site is a pre-launch waitlist.
• No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, no analytics SDKs, no social-media pixels.
• No payment information — no card is requested or accepted anywhere on this site.
• No health information. Interest in gluten-free dining is not recorded as a medical claim about you.

How we use your email

To send you the launch announcement and early-access information for CrumbSafe. We may send a small number of pre-launch updates. Every email includes a way to opt out, and you can also just reply and ask to be removed.

Restaurant survey data

CrumbSafe's listings are built from phone surveys of restaurants. Those calls are made to published business phone lines, the assistant identifies itself and asks for consent at the start of the call, and calls are recorded only with that consent. Survey answers concern the business (menus and kitchen practices), and we record the professional role — not the name — of the person who answered. Restaurants can correct or remove their listing, or opt out of future calls, by emailing corey@slick-engineering.com.

Service providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run this site: web hosting and content delivery, a database service, an email delivery service, and a font-hosting CDN (which, like any web host, sees standard request data such as your IP address when your browser fetches the fonts). These providers process data only on our behalf to provide the service. We do not share your information with anyone for their own marketing.

Data retention and deletion

Waitlist information is kept until launch and for the operation of early access afterward. Email corey@slick-engineering.com at any time and we will delete your email and related signup records within 30 days.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted an email address, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above. If we've launched and you're on our email list, material changes will also be announced by email.
