The short version:
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, which offer you responded to, and basic technical details of the submission (a random session token, the referring page, and your browser type).
No advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, no social pixels. Privacy-limited, first-party analytics counts visits only to our public home, support, and privacy pages.
Email us anytime to be removed and we'll delete your information.

CrumbSafe is a service of Slick Engineering & Consulting, Inc., based in Delray Beach, Florida. For anything privacy-related, contact corey@slick-engineering.com.
What we collect on this site
Waitlist signups: your email address, whether you chose the free waitlist or a founding-member reservation, the price shown to you, and the time of signup — stored together with the session token, referring page, and browser user-agent of the submission. Repeat signup attempts are also kept in an internal log with the same fields.
Basic technical records: like nearly every website, our infrastructure processes standard request data (IP address, browser type) to serve pages and prevent abuse. Each visit to the home page also logs a session token, the price variant you were shown, the referring page, and your browser type — used only to measure interest in the pricing options during this pre-launch test. The token is randomly generated, stays stored in your browser between visits so you always see the same price, is not linked to your name unless you sign up, and is not used to track you across other sites. Deletion requests cover these visit logs too.
Public-page analytics: our hosting provider records one aggregate page-view data point when the home, support, or privacy page is served. It contains only a fixed page name and a broad referral category: direct, another CrumbSafe page, Google Search, an allowlisted AI assistant, or other. A referring URL is examined only long enough to match its exact host to one of those categories and is not stored in analytics. This analytics record contains no raw URL or path, query string, fragment, IP address, browser details, cookie, identifier, form activity, email address, session token, restaurant or diner information, call data, account data, or location data. If our optional Google Analytics stream is enabled in the future, its separate cookieless event is limited to a fixed page name and canonical query-free CrumbSafe URL, with analytics/ad storage, Google Signals, and ad personalization disabled.
What we do NOT collect
No account is required and none exists yet — this site is a pre-launch waitlist.
No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, and no social-media pixels.
No analytics events on API routes, support or waitlist interactions, form submissions, the private operations dashboard, restaurant listings, calls, recordings, transcripts, accounts, or other non-marketing surfaces.
No payment information — no card is requested or accepted anywhere on this site.
No health information. Interest in gluten-free dining is not recorded as a medical claim about you.
How we use your email
To send you the launch announcement and early-access information for CrumbSafe. We may send a small number of pre-launch updates. Every email includes a way to opt out, and you can also just reply and ask to be removed.
Restaurant survey data
CrumbSafe's listings are built from phone surveys of restaurants. Those calls are made to published business phone lines, the assistant identifies itself and asks for consent at the start of the call, and calls are recorded only with that consent. Survey answers concern the business (menus and kitchen practices), and we record the professional role — not the name — of the person who answered.
Restaurants can also answer the same survey through our online form. It stores the restaurant name, the answers, the respondent's role, the browser type of the submission, and — only if provided — the respondent's name and a contact email used solely to follow up on the answers. Form answers are marked as restaurant-reported and are not shown in CrumbSafe until our team reviews them. Restaurants can correct or remove their listing or form answers, or opt out of future calls and emails, by emailing corey@slick-engineering.com.
Service providers
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run this site: Cloudflare for web hosting, content delivery, and aggregate public-page analytics; a database service; an email delivery service; a font-hosting CDN; and — only if the optional public-page stream is configured in the future — Google Analytics. These providers process data only on our behalf to provide the service. Providers that receive browser requests necessarily see standard connection data such as IP address and browser type, but our aggregate page-analytics record does not contain that data. We do not share your information with anyone for their own marketing.
Data retention and deletion
Waitlist information is kept until launch and for the operation of early access afterward. Email corey@slick-engineering.com at any time and we will delete your email and related signup records within 30 days.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted an email address, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above. If we've launched and you're on our email list, material changes will also be announced by email.
